How it’s Made: Artists of the West Canvas Giclées
The Artists of the West program was created to fill the need for affordable, beautiful artwork for everyone to enjoy while also promoting the creative works of Colorado and Arizona artists. All Artists of the West canvas giclées are produced by Circle Graphics, a Longmont, Colorado-based company that is the world’s foremost producer of grand and large-format digital graphics and an industry leader in products for wall decor and the professional photography and art communities. Circle Graphics’ patented production process ensures both high quality and accessible prices.
Artists Submit Artwork
Professional Colorado and Arizona artists submit their photography, fine art, or graphic design to the American Furniture Warehouse Artists of the West program online. All submissions are reviewed and selected based on the creativity, quality, and salability of the image. The selected images are then sent to Circle Graphics to be printed as canvas giclées.
Circle Graphics prints the images on genuine artist canvas using custom-developed, pigment based inks that create vibrant reproductions that resist fading and scratches. The artist-grade canvas is optical brightening agent (OBA) free to ensure print longevity.
Mounted, Cut and Formed
The printed canvas is then mounted on high-density wood fiberboard, cut, and formed using a patented manufacturing process. This solid-front construction prevents the sagging and stretching associated with traditionally-stretched canvas prints while also producing perfect corners free from unsightly bulges or excess material.
After the wrapped canvas is formed, a fully finished black backing with pre-installed hanging hardware is applied. There are no unsightly staples to scratch your walls.
Finally, each canvas is packaged for delivery. When you buy an Artist of the West canvas giclée online, it is packaged to ship anywhere in the contiguous United States.
