Darlene Bushue
Colorado

Darlene Bushue is a landscape and wildlife photographer from Allenspark, CO. For me, photography is more than a way of making memories - it is a means of preserving beautiful moments in my life and allowing others to go on a journey with me. I draw my inspiration from being in the mountains and internalize a saying I came across in my travels to the Canadian Rockies years ago, “Mountains bring peace to the people.” That inspiration is what drew me to Rocky Mountain National Park over four years ago now. Living just miles from the national park, I keep coming back to familiar places to discover fresh new angles and compositions, and I’m never sure exactly what I will come home with. Those familiar places or sometimes even everyday scenery can be transformed into something extraordinary under the right conditions. The greatest reward for me as a photographer is when a viewer connects with an image emotionally: when they say they wish they had been there to experience what they see and feel when they view my photographs. It is my pleasure to share these places and unique moments with you.
