Creating a Cozy Vintage Bedroom

Creating a Cozy Vintage Bedroom

When you’re designing your bedroom, you want to create a bedroom that’s a cozy retreat, but you also want to show off your personality. Here’s how we created a warm and inviting bedroom that has vintage flair and a hint of rustic attitude.

Stone Bed

1) Use a bed to set the mood

We chose the Stone Queen Bed because it has a vintage look that sets the tone for the entire bedroom. It features a traditional silhouette with hand-turned bedposts as well as paneling on the headboard and footboard for a classic look that balances beautifully with the distressed antique white and brown two-tone finish.

Stone Door Chest and Stone Dresser

2) Choose practical pieces

While you obviously want your bedroom to look nice and cozy, it has to be functional as well. We chose the Stone Door Chest that has both drawers and shelves to provide plenty of storage for clothes as well as an open shelf in the base for storing bulky items or displaying treasures. We added even more storage with a spacious dresser with plenty of drawers as well as another open shelf below.

Vintage accessories

3) Complete the look with accessories

Once you’ve nailed down the large pieces in your bedroom, it’s time to accessorize! We added a cream and beige patterned rug at the foot of the bed to add a little softness and echo the geometric look of the paneling on the bed. We also added some vintage accessories with a neutral color palette and distressed finishes to enhance the room’s vintage appeal. On the bed, we used a comforter set with a palette of white and pink to add a touch of soft color, then layered on multiple decorative and functional pillows to make it look even cozier and more inviting.

By choosing a bed that sets the mood for your bedroom, adding practical storage pieces, and then pulling the look together with accessories, it’s easy to create an inviting bedroom with personality.
