Sally Jordon Biography
I have had a love affair with art for as long as I can remember, loving to be immersed in creating and appreciating all types of art. I am especially inspired by the beauty and awe of nature...the stillness, the sheer force and power of it, the little things one misses if he or she is not really looking and listening. I tell my art students, "What makes an artist is that an artist sees differently, noticing all the little things others miss." How beautiful the day, how wondrous the night when all those little things are seen and appreciated! My education includes Webster College, Southeast Missouri State University, Art Source Summer Institute, Colorado and Arizona Universities, with degrees in Art and Education. My works include pen, watercolor, acrylic, oil, foil relief, batik and photography. I incorporate nature, color, light, impressionism and abstraction, as inspiration moves me. Having recently returned from a trip to Paris, the south of France and Spain, I am inspired to create new pieces: Abstract and impressionistic, letting the colors and line take me where they want to go. I am also mesmerized with light reflecting on water, seeing abstract where images others might miss. Currently I create art in Colorado. I am always seeking new adventures, travel destinations and inspiration.
