I originally gave a good review to AFW, which still partially holds true. However I tend to rate companies on how they handle issues that arise. We have an issue with one of our past purchases. We purchased a sofa table. When I originally purchased the table I chose to bring it home and not pay for delivery. I did this because the item was well boxed and I had assistance at home. We recently advised AFW that our table wood splintered. We went through their warranty process which I admit was not horrible. The problem began when they agreed to replace my item. Because I originally brought my item home on my own, I now had to bring back the old table and pick up the new one. The other option was for me to pay an $89 delivery fee. I expressed my displeasure with these options. I do not understand why a customer would have to pay for something that was not their fault. The items was defective but we were being penalized for having the replacement item brought to our home. When I expressed my displeasure the manager merely acknowledged and said that was their policy and I had no other options. Policies should not penalized customers for items that are defective. Not all policies should be black or white, there should be some discretion based on the circumstances. This is not a knock on the sales group inside the store but rather the companies warranty policy.
