This place represents a masterclass in sales and human connection. My new wife and I recently visited American Furniture Warehouse to find the perfect couch for our TV room as we settle into our new home together. What we expected to be a standard retail errand turned into the best possible sales experience one could possibly imagine, entirely due to the remarkable representative we worked with: Mordecai. It began simply enough. We were sitting on a couch testing it out when Mordecai approached to greet us. We ended up spending an entire hour walking the floor with him. Throughout the visit, his approach was completely low-pressure, yet extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. At no point did we ever feel rushed or like we were wasting his time. We took his business card when we left to think things over, and several days later, I called him with a few more questions. He was just as friendly and accommodating over the phone. We returned to the store a few days after that call to finalize our purchase, and it was during this second visit that the experience truly set itself apart. He shared personal stories about when he first got married and the furniture he chose at the time. He spoke beautifully about the reasons behind those choices and how his children ultimately grew up on that very furniture. He highlighted the sentimental value that a seemingly simple piece of furniture can hold in a family's history, which immediately made me reflect on the sentimental value of the pieces we are selecting for our own new marriage. Connecting with him on that level elevated the entire experience from a simple transaction to a genuinely memorable human interaction. I sincerely hope that Jake Jabs* sees this review, because I want him to know that he has built a phenomenal company. A business is only as good as its people, and it is clear that this company continues to find honest, hard-working, caring, and wonderful sales representatives. Among them, Mordecai stands out as a pinnacle representation of what customer service should be. If you are shopping here, do yourself a favor and ask for him by name (remember, it’s Mordecai)! My husband and I got our dining set from this location. The process was seamless. Stacey processed our order. He was kind and the transaction was quick. Jose & Steven delivered our table and set everything up for us. They were quick and careful while setting it up in our dining room. :)

Shopping was easy friendly knowledgeable. Great selection on the floor easy checkout. Delivery also quick friendly and the giys were quick getting it in and all setup for us.

I purchased a full bedroom set from American Furniture back in March 2026, and this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The footboard arrived broken, and it took them months, from March 16 to June 2026, to finally fix something that should’ve been handled immediately under their 1‑Year Limited Warranty. The mattress arrived with a stain and never inflated properly, which clearly makes it a defect in materials or workmanship. Their own warranty states they will repair or replace defective parts at no cost within the first year, yet they are refusing to replace the mattress or even acknowledge the issue. A stained, defective mattress delivered on day one is not customer damage — it’s a warranty-covered defect. I have also requested the warranty paperwork multiple times and asked to speak with a supervisor, and the customer service representative refused both requests. This is completely unprofessional and directly contradicts their own policy, which requires them to provide manufacturer warranty information upon request. American Furniture advertises a warranty, but when it’s time to honor it, they dodge responsibility, delay action, and deny valid claims. Between the defective products, the months-long wait for repairs, the stained and malfunctioning mattress, and the refusal to escalate my concerns, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
