I don't typically leave reviews, but after months of ongoing issues with this order, I feel like I need to share my experience: I placed an order with American Furniture Warehouse in early March for a couch, bed, dresser, and nightstand. I was told everything would arrive in April. It is now almost June, and I am still waiting on furniture I paid for nearly three months ago. The couch arrived, but the bed, dresser, and nightstand kept getting delayed. Every time I called for an update, the date kept getting pushed back. I eventually got the bed and dresser in May, still late, but I have still never received a nightstand, which I have now been told will not arrive until the end of June. When I asked why, I was told it was a vendor issue. Why are you selling items and collecting thousands of dollars from customers if you cannot actually get those items from your vendors in a reasonable timeframe? By the time the bed and dresser were finally ready to be delivered, I chose the earliest available weekend even though I would be out of town, because at that point my entire bedroom had been unfurnished for months. I asked my parents to come to my apartment to receive the order. I called multiple times beforehand to update the contact number on the account so that delivery notifications would reach my parents and not me. I kept receiving texts and updates myself, so I continued to call and try to get the number changed. Each time I was told it had been updated on my order. It had not been. The driver called me while I was out of town, and I had to coordinate communication between him and my parents despite having called multiple times prior to avoid this exact situation. And after all of that, the delivery crew accidentally put a hole in my wall. My parents fixed it themselves, at our own expense. I'm leaving one star because the staff and delivery crew are all very kind people who I did not have any issue with! However, that doesn't make up for my negative experience, a hole in my apartment wall, and the final piece of furniture that I am still waiting on months later.
